IT Services

Managed IT support

Learn more about how our day-to-day support works on our IT Support page.

What are Managed IT Services?

Managed IT Services is a proactive approach to IT support where we act as your dedicated IT department. We monitor, maintain and optimise your technology 24/7, preventing issues before they impact your business operations. Our service includes technical support, cyber security, system updates and strategic IT planning.

What is your client onboarding process?

Our onboarding process is straightforward:

  1. Initial meeting to understand your needs
  2. Documentation collection from your current IT provider
  3. System analysis and setup
  4. Implementation of monitoring tools
  5. User training and support setup
  6. Regular review meetings
What are your support hours and response times?

Standard support hours are 8:30am–5:30pm. Our average first response time is around 10 minutes and average ticket resolution is around 1 hour. Out-of-hours support is available, and we provide 24/7 monitoring of your systems.

Cyber Security

Staying protected

See how our 12-module suite brings all of this together on the Savvy Secure page.

What is phishing and how can we prevent it?

Phishing is a cyber attack where criminals pose as legitimate entities to steal sensitive information. We help prevent this through Savvy Secure's Security Awareness Training, email filtering with Savvy Mail Filter, real-time threat monitoring, automated threat response and Savvy SaaS Alerts.

What happens if we experience a security breach?

We have a comprehensive incident response plan:

  1. Immediate threat containment
  2. System isolation if necessary
  3. Rapid response and investigation
  4. Data recovery from backups
  5. Root cause analysis
  6. Security enhancement implementation
  7. Post-incident review and recommendations
How can I protect my small business from cyber attacks?

We recommend a multi-layered approach:

  1. Employee security awareness training
  2. Strong endpoint protection
  3. Regular security updates and patches
  4. Email security solutions
  5. Data backup and recovery
  6. Multi-factor authentication
  7. Network monitoring
  8. Dark web surveillance

Our Savvy Secure suite brings all of these layers together.

CCTV

Business CCTV

Explore smart, remotely-viewable camera systems on our CCTV page.

Do I need planning permission to install CCTV on my business premises?

In most cases, no planning permission is required for standard CCTV installations on commercial premises. However, if cameras capture public spaces or neighbouring properties, there are guidelines to follow. We'll advise you on this during your site survey.

How long is CCTV footage stored?

This depends on your system and storage setup. Most businesses opt for 30-day retention, but we can configure this to suit your requirements. We'll also ensure your retention policy is compliant with UK GDPR.

Can I access my CCTV footage remotely?

Yes. With an IP or cloud-based system, you can view live and recorded footage from any smartphone, tablet or laptop — wherever you are in the world.

Will CCTV affect my business insurance?

Many insurers will reduce premiums for businesses with CCTV installed. We'd recommend checking with your provider — and we can provide documentation of your system if needed.

What happens if my CCTV system develops a fault?

Our support team is on hand to diagnose and resolve issues quickly. We offer remote support and can arrange an engineer visit if required. You're never left without support.

Access Control

Door access control

Find out how to manage every door from one portal on our Access Control page.

What happens if a member of staff loses their fob or card?

You can instantly deactivate the lost credential from your management portal, and issue a new one. There's no need to change locks or worry about unauthorised access.

Can I manage the system myself, or do I need to call you every time?

Most day-to-day tasks — adding users, adjusting access levels, generating reports — can be done through your management dashboard without any technical knowledge. We're always available if you need help.

Can access control integrate with our CCTV?

Yes. Access control and CCTV work brilliantly together. When a door event is triggered, you can tie it directly to a camera recording — giving you both a log and a visual record of every access event.

What if there's a power cut — will the doors lock or unlock?

This depends on the lock type fitted (fail-safe vs fail-secure). We'll discuss this with you during your site survey and recommend the right configuration based on your safety and security priorities.

Can contractors or visitors be given temporary access?

Absolutely. We can set up time-limited credentials — perfect for contractors, visitors or temporary staff. Access automatically expires when the time period ends, with no manual intervention needed.

Is door access control suitable for small businesses?

Definitely. Even businesses with just a handful of staff benefit from access control — especially around sensitive areas. We design solutions that scale with your business and suit your budget.
